Monday night I went to see Owl City in Cleveland at the Grog Shop. The place was great, really small, which is how I like my shows. I went with Katrina, Kim, and Courtney, so needless to say I was in wonderful company. I was surprised at how well Courtney could walk with a broken pelvis, but she was a little trooper. Stupid teenage girls were trying to get in front of us and Katrina wouldn’t have it. “She’s got a broken pelvis, so can you move away from her? Thanks.” haha hilarious. Owl City was amazing, it was great when they left the stage before playing “Fireflies”, and everyone in the whole place started chanting FIREFLIES! FIREFLIES!, so they all come back, and Adam Young goes “Oh, you know that song?”, then played the shit out of it. Wonderful.
One surprise was one of the opening acts. There were two actually but only one of them was good. This girl Kate something was really depressing and her music was kinda boring and on top of that, she had a cold and couldn’t sing very well, so yeah I couldn’t wait for her to get off stage. But the first act was amazing. This young kid comes up on stage named Unicorn Kid, 17 year old kid from Scotland, really talented, he got the crowd going with his dance music that sounded like it was coming from an old nintendo.
